SEVERN HOSPICE CHARITY TOURNAMENT

Town Walls hosted their annual Charity Tournament on Sunday morning 8th June.  This year all proceeds went to Severn Hospice who are also celebrating 25years since their foundation. Tournament organiser, Anne Hasnip reported that it was a very enjoyable mixed doubles tournament with eight couples competing on a lovely sunny June morning.  Everyone enjoyed the tennis and the excellent morning tea of home made cakes.  Prizes for the competition were donated by Town Walls Tennis Club.  Prizes were presented by Tony Legg, the Club President,  to the winners - Mary Molloy and Josh Parker and to the  runners up - Teresa Thomas  and Lief Davies.  Tony Legg thanked everyone for competing and donating  the raffles prizes.  He also said how proud he was to see our Club raising money for a worthwhile cause while at the same time running an enjoyable competition.
