Coleham School visit April 2015

 

It was time for Year 4 of the local primary school, Coleham School, to make

their annual visit to Town Walls. Both year 4 classes came to Town Walls as

part of an hour long school PE lesson. One class came on Friday 17th April

and one class on 27th February. Teresa Thomas and Anne Hasnip led the group,

with the help of coach Trevor Sorkin, Sue Hammonds, Liz Trotman and Kate

Everington. The youngsters were very enthusiastic and by the end of the

sessions had learnt a few skills and were hitting the ball over the net.

 

As a follow up, Town Walls invited any children who wanted to come to a taster

morning for extra coaching on Saturday 25th April. Mini Tennis coach, Jared

Fellows led the group with the help of Anne Hasnip, Teresa Thomas, Sue

Hammonds and Kate Everington. The youngsters were very keen and energetic

and made the most of the session with all of them showing much promise.
